Born in 1992 in Leuven, Maarten De Naeyer's oeuvre emphasises contrast and feeling, using an abstract graphic style. His works are distinguished by an abstract-graphic style, in which he almost instinctively creates a visual language consisting of abstract forms that interact with each other.
Each element is in constant relation to the others, creating a fascinating field of tension. In Maarten De Naeyer's paintings, he achieves a harmonious interaction between form and texture. His approach is thoughtful and he tries to capture the essence through the use of contrasts and connections.
The artist's graphic background emerges clearly in his pared-down visual style, with an eye for detail. Through his artworks, Maarten invites the viewer to experience the world through a unique lens of shapes, textures and emotions, seeking to create a deeper understanding through his own artistic language.
